Nariño, right on the Pan-American highway with easy access between Quito and Bogota. Ipiales is a modern city one of the most important centers of the region. It is located 87 miles southwest of Pasto and is at an altitude of 2898 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 11 º C. Ipiales is where the Shrine Las Lajas, one of the most visited national treasures. This is a Catholic shrine built into the abyss of a cannon.
Tumaco.
The second Colombian port on the Ocean Tumaco Pacific and we are still in the department of Nariño. The port city is located in the Bay of Tumaco and facing the archipelago of the same name. Cartagena de Indias is one of most popular not only in Colombia but in the Caribbean Sea. Cruises are a must in the old colonial port with its walls built during the colonial time to defend it from pirate attacks. Entoces The city was one of the largest ports in the Americas and keep a long history legends, ancient balconies, palaces, churches and beaches that attract everyone.

The first port of Colombia is in the Caribbean Sea and is the privilege of Barranquilla, a city with a more recent history. Another rapidly growing city is Arauca, the capital of the department Arauca, also on the border with Venezuela. The city is the center of the oil region of Colombia and the Llanos Orientales. The attraction for the oil economies made the city became one of the most contested of internal migration reaching 100 thousand inhabitants.
