José Ivan's father works in the province of Krochet, Cambodia, as a member of the "Missionaries of Yarumal " assisting communities living in poverty and studying the Khmer culture. Recommends see Mekong River dolphins, a tourist attraction and an ecological treasure for the native people. Father José Iván Suárez was born in piyar Campaign, province of Tungurahua, Ecuador, in 1974. In her village knew the sisters " Daughters of Mercy, a religious institute of Colombian origin connected to the Missionaries of Yarumal. Yarumal missionaries are in various Latin American, African, Oceania and Asia and most of them are Colombians and Ecuadorians, but there are also religious countries like Kenya and Bolivia.
Yarumal is a town 113 kilometers north of Medellin
, known as the North Star, at 2,100 meters above sea level and is the traditional birthplace of priestly vocations. That was the place chosen by Bishop Builes in 1927 to start his

Ivan's father describes his experiences in Colombia as a young student of theology:
"When I knew I had to go to Medellín to study in 1998, really was afraid, because in Ecuador is often thought to Colombia as a very dangerous country . The fear increased when they said we had to make the overland journey by bus from Quito to Ecuador Medellín and is thought to travel Colombia road is just crazy. Quito-Pasto The trip took about six hours. When I saw the city of Pasto
was really amazing for me. Actually Pasto is a city well-developed and organized and I really enjoyed. We take a direct bus-Medellin Pasto take about 16 hours. The bus began its route to the north, away more and more of my homeland. I enjoyed many plains of Valle del Cauca, Cali, in view of the sugar or cane plantations are a wonderful landscape. I was very impressed the bus terminals in big cities, modern and large. Then the bus went up the mountains and came to Medellín, the city where he lived the next few years.
At first it was easy to get used to the new culture. Ecuadorians are very different from the culture

In Ecuador rely heavily on the family and leave the family environment causes many personal problems. Fortunately, some countries are admired by all as those that make you feel at home. Another culture shock was that the Ecuadorians are more introverted and the country completely the opposite. They say what they think directly. They do not send messages to anyone. found many Ecuadorians in Medellín. They live there very well. Textile work and do not have many problems in Colombia. I also met many Ecuadorians married paisas. There are many Colombians in Ecuador. They have businesses, industries and factories are merchants. For example, the Pilsen is theirs, as the chocolate industry and other products. I think when Ecuador dollarized the economy, many Colombians come to Ecuador to get those dollars. For me it is good because they create an atmosphere of work, commitment, investment and create new companies that create jobs and encourage people to work with the example. For example, knowing the country and its business mentality, these give a good contribution to the Ecuadorians, because countries are very smart in negotiating and that forces us to be ready to respond well to the challenge. Of course, when the national police catch a band or stop a criminal organization, in most cases there are Colombians involved, but as insunúo up most Colombians are honest at work, but not all.

The relationship between Colombia and Ecuador has always been good in our common history. Colombia is a country that moves the public opinion of Ecuador in most of the time. Both countries could do things like student exchanges. In both countries there are good universities and colleges. When you trade for youth education, and appreciation for the contribution by the neighboring country is growing and that brings great benefits for both.
In Ecuador we have many places to see: the Galapagos Islands are very famous, but it's really expensive to go there, which is a shame because the pocket of the poor can not enjoy their own homeland. But the islands are truly wonderful. In Quito we have the Colonial Center, a beautiful place. The cable car up to Guagua Pichincha qe, banana plantations Machala, the tour is called "Amazon Adventure" and the beautiful islands of Esmeraldas, not far from Tumaco Colombia. When people ask me about Colombia usually say that Medellin is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen in my travels around the world. Countries - that's how the saying goes to its people - people are very friendly and welcoming. As I said before, make you feel at home. Colombia is a vast country to see. It's wonderful so many regions and many different cultures. They are not the same everywhere. I had no problems living in Colombia and return to live in Colombia, but now I know that the country is safer. Colombians are kind and friendly and, of course, have beautiful women.
